However, as I've learned along the way, writing the story was the easy part: between doing edits, looking at cover designs, and anxiously waiting for my release, the hard part is still to come. Marketing the book will be a challenge for me, being a rather introverted individual. But the internet is an extremely helpful tool, and I've found a wonderful group of writers that have mentored me through the process.
I've learned so much this year! Street teams, release parties, blog tours...it's all part and parcel of the whole marketing plan, and I'm gearing up to do all of this with my release. I plan on hosting a two-hour release extravaganza, hosted by me and my two lovely interns, Megan Hughes and Ashlee Ramme. It will be an exciting night, focusing on the historical profile of each of my characters, along with a few teasers from the book and some giveaways as well! We'll post the event page soon!
Recently, I discovered my creative juices and created a trailer for my book. I hope you enjoy it, and stay tuned because a lot is happening in the months to come!
