All my favorite romance elements for a historical romance! March 2, 2016
Classic romance novel with all the best parts of the genre. Historical times and figures scattered around, a beautiful plantation, Creole and Southern flavors with some British mixed in. This author does a great job of mixing all of the best things together and making them work perfectly!
A Creole beauty meets a Romani spy and they get into some wonderful situations!! Will he overcome his past and find love in the New World? Can she leave her past behind? Will they run away from each other or will they run away together?
Spy stories are always exciting and this one is not a disappointment there at all! Plenty of intrigue and a cast of characters to keep you guessing at the finale!
As an independent reviewer for Romance Authors that Rock, I give this one five hearts, all beating briskly! Between the romance and the intrigue, I couldn't put it down until I finished it!!

I give this book 5 hearts
A historical romantic adventure with a great cast of characters. Very much a classic romance Sexy Romani Talon and feisty strong Creole beauty Talia are thrown together but things aren't always what they seem.
When the mission that Talon agreed too goes south and new information comes to light he decides to protect Talia rather than kidnap her.
Soon he finds himself head over heel for the strong willed, sassy and brave Talia.
Lies, deceit, double crossing, spy's, some hot bedroom scenes and a fantastic love come together in this story that will take you on a journey from England, to the Caribbean to New Orleans.
So rich in detail and history the imagery comes to life.
I loved the relationships between the secondary characters as well and I look forward to reading more by this author.

Masterfully woven tale! March 25, 2016
Neither French land grabbers, nor spies, nor pirates are a match for a rogue Gypsy and the beautiful Creole woman who has stolen his heart. But the twists and turns in this masterfully woven tale will keep you scratching your head and wondering who among the characters isn't plotting the hero and heroine's demise.
Beneath the intrigue is a love story for the ages, set in a time when the cruel practice of slavery was in full swing in the new world, and when Gypsies were considered by some to be "no better."
To the very last page, I was cheering for these two, hoping for a HEA worthy of their love.
You'll love this story ~ I did!

I have never read a book like this!! Lots of drama, action and turmoil and love in the end!! This book kept me reading cause I knew that all that was going on wasn't right but I couldn't figure out who was the bad guys and what was really going on!! lol Quite a mystery packed novel!! I loved that Talon and Talia finally found happiness!! Loved this book Auria and will read more in this series.

I have never read a book like this!! Lots of drama, action and turmoil and love in the end!!
